Yes. Ripples, waves and buckling are usually fixed by re-stretching the carpet with a power stretcher and re-fastening it at the walls.
Carpet loosens over time from foot traffic, humidity, or a stretch that wasn’t tight enough at install. Re-stretching takes the slack out and removes the trip hazard.
Can you patch a burn, stain or pet damage?
Yes. We cut out the damaged section and patch in matching carpet, usually from a remnant or an inconspicuous spot like a closet.
If you kept leftover carpet from the original install, keep it. That’s the best patch material there is.
Is it worth repairing carpet, or should I replace it?
If the carpet is otherwise in good shape, repair is a fraction of the cost of replacing it.
If it’s worn thin across the room, badly matted, or the pad is breaking down, replacement is usually the better spend. We’ll tell you which at the estimate. See our carpet installation page if it’s time.
Do you fix carpet on stairs?
Yes. Loose, frayed or lifting stair carpet can usually be re-secured or repaired.
Can you fix carpet after water damage?
Often, if the water was clean and it’s dried quickly. Wet pad usually has to be replaced, and carpet that stayed wet too long may not be salvageable.
